Oct. 16–25, 2026 · Siargao, Philippines
Connect, share, make friends and have fun with 150 digital nomads, entrepreneurs and remote workers on the most beautiful island in the Philippines.
Nomads in Paradise was one of the most enriching experiences of my year. I came for the conference, but I left with a completely new professional network, incredible friends, and memories that I'll carry for life.
I met my future business partner on day two. By the end of the week we had a signed agreement. That's the kind of magic that happens at NIP — you simply can't manufacture it online.
As someone who travels solo, I was nervous about attending. Within one hour I felt completely at home. The community is so warm and welcoming — it's unlike any event I've been to.
The talks were world class, the island was jaw-dropping, and the people were the best I've met in years of nomad life. NIP sets the bar for what a digital nomad event should be.

Siargao has been named one of the world's best islands by Condé Nast Traveller, National Geographic, and more. It's the surfing capital of the Philippines, home to vibrant coral reefs, pristine beaches, and a thriving community of locals and international travellers. October is peak paradise.
The island's compact, walk-everywhere layout means you naturally run into fellow attendees throughout the day. Conversations start easily and friendships form fast.
Fast fiber internet and dedicated coworking spaces mean you can stay fully productive while surrounded by ocean views and tropical greenery.
Siargao's restaurant scene punches well above its weight — from fresh Filipino seafood to international cuisine. The nightlife is intimate, fun, and full of great people.
Explore the surrounding islands by boat — crystal lagoons, hidden sandbars, and thriving marine life. The island hopping tour is one of the most memorable days of the event.

Bioluminescence in the mangroves at night, electric sunsets over the Pacific, and lush jungle landscapes. Siargao's natural beauty is genuinely awe-inspiring.
Siargao is home to Cloud 9, one of the world's most famous surf breaks. Expert instructors make it accessible for beginners while experienced surfers find perfect waves.
Getting to Siargao is easier than you might think. Here are your two main options.
The easiest way to reach Siargao is by direct flight to Sayak Airport (IAO).
A budget-friendly adventure option for travellers already in the Visayas region.
Stay fully productive during your 10 days in Siargao.
We've partnered with multiple coworking spaces and venues equipped with fiber optic connections, Starlink satellite internet, and backup generators — so you stay productive even when the island has other plans. That said, we recommend keeping work to a minimum so you can fully enjoy the experience!
Because our partner venues use Starlink satellite internet, your connection doesn't depend on the local power grid. Even during occasional power cuts — common on a tropical island — Starlink keeps you online via satellite, so your calls and uploads are safe.
Your NIP ticket includes discounted rates at several coworking venues on the island. You'll receive an updated Nomad Guide listing the best spots — complete with internet speeds, generator backup info, and opening hours. We're on a beautiful island after all, so work smart and enjoy!

We bring together international and Filipino digital professionals in a space where cultural exchange, professional collaboration, and genuine human connection happen naturally — not by accident.
NIP is built on the belief that proximity creates opportunity. By gathering ambitious, location-independent professionals in one place, we create the conditions where careers and businesses are transformed.
We are proud to hold NIP in the Philippines and to introduce the country's world-class talent, stunning landscapes, and warm culture to a global audience of digital professionals year after year.
NIP 2026 takes place in General Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. General Luna is the main hub of Siargao, home to its most popular beaches, restaurants, bars, and coworking spaces. The conference venue and most accommodation options are within walking distance of each other.
The event runs October 16–25, 2026 — 10 full days. We strongly recommend attending for the full duration to get the most out of the conference programme, networking, and activities. The event is designed as an immersive experience, and many of the best connections happen towards the end of the week when relationships have had time to develop. That said, you can arrive late or leave early if needed.
The easiest route is by direct flight to Sayak Airport (IAO) on Siargao. Fly from Cebu (CEB) or Davao (DVO) — approx. 20–30 minutes — or from Clark (CRK) — approx. 2 hours. Note: there are no direct flights from Manila. Airlines include Cebu Pacific and PAL Express. Alternatively, take a ferry from Surigao City to Dapa port (approx. 1.5–2 hours). We recommend booking flights early as October is peak season.
October is one of the best months to visit Siargao. Expect warm tropical weather (27–32°C), consistent surf, and relatively low chance of typhoons compared to peak typhoon months. It can rain briefly in the afternoons but generally clears quickly. Always check forecasts closer to travel dates.
Yes — accommodation and meals are not included in the ticket price. However, we provide a curated list of recommended resorts, guesthouses, and hotels in General Luna across a range of budgets. Options start from around $20/night for budget, up to $100+/night for beachfront boutique resorts. There are excellent restaurants, cafes, and street food vendors throughout General Luna at very reasonable prices.
Yes, all conference sessions, keynotes, and workshops are conducted in English. NIP attracts attendees from over 20 countries and English is the universal language of the event. Filipino attendees are highly proficient in English, so there's no language barrier for international visitors.
The conference venue is equipped with fast fiber internet with plenty of bandwidth for the group. Most accommodations in General Luna also now offer fast internet, including several with Starlink. We recommend checking with your specific accommodation about speeds. Video calls and remote work are fully feasible throughout the event.
Tickets are generally non-refundable, but they are transferable — you can sell or give your ticket to another person if you're unable to attend. If NIP is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disaster, government restrictions), we will offer full refunds or carry your ticket over to the next event. Please contact us before purchasing if you have concerns about your circumstances.
Yes! We offer a special local rate for Filipino participants. Please contact us directly via WhatsApp or email to receive the local pricing details. We are committed to making NIP accessible to the Filipino digital community.
We recommend arriving on October 15 (the day before the opening) to settle in, explore the town, and meet early arrivals. The official programme runs October 16–25. Plan to leave on October 26 or later if you'd like to stay and explore more of Siargao or the Philippines after the event ends.
We don't provide an official airport transfer service, but tricycles and vans are readily available at Sayak Airport. The ride to General Luna takes approximately 45 minutes and costs around ₱200–₱600 depending on the vehicle. We will share a recommended transport contact in the attendee WhatsApp group closer to the event.
Yes, there are ATMs in General Luna — we recommend withdrawing enough cash when you arrive as they can run out on busy weekends. Credit and debit cards are accepted at larger restaurants and resorts, but many smaller establishments are cash-only. Bring Philippine Peso or USD to exchange locally. GCash (Philippine mobile wallet) is widely accepted and useful if you have a Philippine SIM card.
Yes! Scooter rental is widely available in General Luna, typically costing ₱500–₱700 per day. It's one of the best ways to explore the island at your own pace. An international driving permit is recommended. If you're not confident riding a scooter, tricycles and habal-habal motorbike taxis are plentiful and inexpensive.
Yes, several dedicated coworking spaces have opened in General Luna in recent years, offering daily and weekly passes. Some resorts and cafes also offer semi-formal work setups. The NIP conference venue is available for coworking during conference hours (included in your ticket), and we'll share a full list of recommended spaces in the attendee guide.
Philippine mobile data is available from Globe and Smart networks. 4G LTE coverage in General Luna is generally reliable, though it can slow down in the evenings. A prepaid SIM with a data package costs approximately ₱200–₱500 for a week and can be purchased at the airport or in town. We recommend getting a SIM on arrival for maps, messaging, and backup connectivity.
Orly Darnayla & Jan Richter
The story of Nomads in Paradise began with a friendship formed in Siargao and a shared vision: to bridge the gap between local Filipino culture and the global digital nomad scene.
